House on the Hill

THE CHALLENGE

The homeowners for this job had the house for 8 years and although everyone in the neighborhood was updating their landscaping, they never felt comfortable with a contractor.

THE SOLUTION

When we landed the job, the client had two asks for us: to create an elegant entrance to their house and to use top of the line materials.

We did natural stone steps, a natural stone porch (square cut), and black wrought iron railing. The landing in front of the steps was a stain resistant colour-lasting stone. When this particular stone is produced, it has a greater PSI than poured concrete. Which means it was extremely difficult to cut but it will be massively durable for years to come. It also has an eye catching but subtle blueish purple tone that’s tremendously unique.

The backyard was small so we wanted to maximize livable space for a little patio landing area with chairs, tables, and a BBQ.  We also created for them a custom 8×8 cedar shed with a shingle roof using top of the line materials.

Like the landing, it’s guaranteed to stay durable and beautiful for many decades to come.
